Englisure ("we", "us") provides an online, proctored English language assessment. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we look after it. Questions? Email info@englisure.co.uk.
Your ID and snapshots let our reviewers confirm the person taking the test is the person named on the certificate. Your answers are used to work out your level. Your account details let us email your certificate and let you download it again later.
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the test and certificate) and in our legitimate interest in running a trustworthy, fraud-resistant certification service.
Anyone with your certificate reference can see your name, level and issue date at /verify. That's how employers and licensing officers confirm a certificate is genuine. Your ID and snapshots are never shown publicly.
We don't sell your data or share it for marketing. We use Stripe for payments and an email provider to send your certificate. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Deleting your data also removes your certificate from verification. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk. To make a request, email info@englisure.co.uk.
Everything is sent over HTTPS. ID documents and snapshots are stored outside the public website and can only be viewed by our reviewers. We use one session cookie to keep you signed in — no tracking or advertising cookies.
